I was not familiar with the creature either. There are no specimens at the menagerie in Babylon.
However, having seen Timon myself, I can tell you its fur is an orange hue and that is has pointed facial features. I can only assume this creature does not exist in either of our worlds.
As for Timon's journal--perhaps the device has ceased functioning for some reason? Although to claim he does not exist seems to suggest that Timon has been somehow removed from this world and therefore no longer "exists" in it. I did hear something of a kind of portal opening in Paixao recently. Could have have ventured through there?
